Language & Translation Policy

English is the primary editorial edition, while translated pages expand reach with clear disclosure about AI assistance and review limits.

Language and translation policy

OZJF publishes in multiple languages so readers in the Middle East, Europe, and the broader Jewish and policy ecosystem can inspect the same institutional record. That expansion in access should not blur editorial status. English remains the primary editorial edition and the controlling version when wording, legal meaning, or factual nuance becomes disputed.

Current language structure

  • Primary editorial edition: English
  • Supported language editions: Hebrew, Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, Turkish, Spanish, French, and German
  • Static locale routes are used so each language edition can be reviewed, linked, and discovered directly

Translation method and disclosure

Some translated pages may use AI-assisted translation because of limited resources. That assistance should be disclosed plainly. High-risk pages, especially legal, donor, and research pages, should be reviewed more carefully than low-risk overview text. If a translated page is unclear or diverges from the English page, the English version governs editorial review.

Reporting a translation issue

Visitors who see a mistranslation, legal ambiguity, or fact mismatch should use the contact route and identify the page and language edition so the issue can be reviewed.
